Deli Assistant

Overview

This full-time role based in Kilkenny involves preparing a variety of high-quality hot and cold deli products while prioritizing customer satisfaction at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Having completed HACCP training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Customer service experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a busy team setting and manage several tasks simultaneously under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the capability to engage and inspire customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for all fresh food categories, including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot foods, and slicing meats adhering to portion control guidelines.
• Cook, prepare, and present food items throughout the operational day.
• Maintain high standards for deli counter displays across all fresh food sections consistently.
• Share your passion for quality food through knowledge exchange, recipes, and personal tips with customers.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with store policies.
