GCP Cloud Engineer – Kubernetes & DevOps

Overview

We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer with at least four years of expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/GKE, networking, DevOps processes, and cloud security. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, deploying, and managing Google Cloud Platform environments effectively.

Key Duties

• Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform services, architecture frameworks, and cloud infrastructure systems.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge in Kubernetes and GKE, including tasks such as deploying applications, scaling clusters, networking configurations, and resolving issues.
• Manage and implement GCP networking components and Landing Zone concepts like VPC, subnets, IAM roles, firewall settings, VPN, and routing protocols.
• Apply principles of cloud architecture focusing on high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Utilize DevOps methodologies including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and infrastructure automation.
• Develop and uphold cloud security measures and integrate DevSecOps practices.
• Continuously monitor, diagnose, and enhance the performance of GCP infrastructure and hosted workloads.

Required Skills

• Proficient with Google Cloud Platform and related services.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Sound understanding of cloud networking and Landing Zone implementation.
• Skills in Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation.
• Practices strong DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and cost optimization strategies.
