GCP Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and DevOps to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of professional experience managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with strong technical proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE), networking, DevOps processes, and cloud security strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using various GCP services with a hands-on approach.
• Manage Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters, focusing on deployment, scaling, networking configuration, and resolving operational issues.
• Configure and maintain GCP networking components, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnetting, IAM policies, firewalls, VPN setups, and routing.
• Architect cloud environments for reliability, scalability, and optimized costs.
• Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Implement security best practices related to cloud infrastructure and embed security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the efficiency of GCP workloads.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architectural principles.
• In-depth expertise in Kubernetes and GKE management.
• Practical knowledge of cloud networking, including Landing Zone setup and related GCP networking components.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).
• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and cost optimization techniques.
