Game Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Game Data Analyst to transform player behavior data into actionable insights that influence game design and live operations. This position demands deep expertise in SQL combined with a strong understanding of game design to effectively answer critical questions posed by designers and producers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze metrics related to player behavior, retention, monetization, and engagement.
• Create dashboards and reports tailored for live operations, design, and product teams.
• Conduct A/B testing for features, balance modifications, and live events.
• Develop player segmentation models and lifecycle analyses.
• Collaborate with designers and producers to guide analytics-driven decisions.
• Detect data quality issues and coordinate with engineering teams for proper instrumentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in game analytics, product analytics, or data analysis roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Hands-on use of BI tools including Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, along with familiarity with game analytics platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis tasks.
• Strong grasp of key game performance indicators including Daily Active Users (DAU), retention metrics, Average Revenue Per Daily Active User (ARPDAU), and conversion rates.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convert data insights into actionable recommendations.

Compensation

Competitive salary depending on experience, qualifications, and location; estimated range between $75,000 to $115,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.
