Job Overview

As a Sales Associate at Pet Valu in Mississauga, Ontario, you will leverage your knowledge and experience to assist pet owners in finding the best nutrition and solutions for their pets. You'll be part of a team of passionate pet experts and benefit from opportunities to learn and develop with a top North American pet retailer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cashier duties and engage in customer sales transactions.
• Prepare merchandise orders, manage banking, and handle miscellaneous paperwork.
• Stock sales areas with small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies and household products.
• Perform general store maintenance such as sweeping and dusting.
• Assist with unloading delivery vehicles and stocking heavier items (up to 50 lbs).
• Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with operating POS systems.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor combined with strong customer service capabilities.
• Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work scheduled hours including weekends and evenings to meet attendance standards.
• Dependable transportation to and from the workplace.
