Role Overview
As a full-time Supervisor, you will serve as the welcoming face of Carter's to growing families, offering guidance on baby essentials and school needs through various parenting milestones. The role involves creating a positive and inclusive environment, enhancing team talents, and maintaining expertise on product features and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Become well-versed in Carter's brands and products to assist families from preemie sizes to size 14.
- Warmly welcome customers and provide expert advice on product styles, features, and benefits.
- Focus on genuine customer engagement and uphold customer service standards on the sales floor.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for both employees and customers.
- Model service excellence and omni-channel customer experience while coaching and guiding team members.
- Lead and manage specific business areas through detailed planning and execution.
- Perform Leader on Duty duties by driving results and timely addressing customer concerns.
- Use customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance store performance.
- Foster customer loyalty via company programs.
- Provide immediate feedback to the store team and escalate performance issues to management.
- Recognize and reward outstanding team performance.
- Support asset protection through vigilant customer service, safety awareness, and operational controls.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma is required.
- Possess a positive, solutions-driven approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computer tools including Outlook, Excel, and web navigation.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
- Capable of standing or walking for extended periods and climbing ladders.
- Available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and a minimum of two weekly closing shifts.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranges between $18.10 and $20.30, dependent on experience and location.
