Full-Time Store Associate

Job Overview

As a Full-Time Store Associate at ALDI USA, you will manage key store functions including product merchandising, stocking, cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an optimal shopping environment. You will work closely with the team to deliver exceptional service to customers.

Working Hours and Compensation

This full-time role typically requires an average of 30 or more hours weekly. Initial pay starts at $19.50 per hour with scheduled wage increases each year, reaching up to $21.50 by year five.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate customer service excellence and escalate any issues to management as necessary.
• Report any product losses due to expiry or damage promptly to management.
• Accurately operate the point-of-sale system and communicate any scanning problems.
• Follow cash handling policies and open additional lanes as needed to speed checkout.
• Maintain shelf displays and stock according to merchandising guidelines to boost sales.
• Efficiently fulfill curbside pickup orders, verifying and delivering orders to customers’ vehicles.
• Preserve store zone and merchandising standards consistently.
• Help management meet operational efficiency and minimize product loss targets.
• Comply with all company policies, promote workplace safety, and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to established inventory and product handling procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties to company standards to uphold store appearance.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move within the store.
• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights, including overhead shelves.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers, hand and electric pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Work in varying temperature conditions including freezer and cooler areas.
• Use cleaning products effectively and safely.

Qualifications and Skills

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service consistently.
• Competently use all store equipment including registers, scrubbers, balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Understand and apply store policies and procedures effectively.
• Communicate clearly in verbal and written forms.
• Perform basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Follow instructions carefully and maintain attention to detail.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity within deadlines.
• Ensure reliable attendance and meet scheduling availability requirements.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous retail experience is advantageous.
