Role Overview

As a Salesfloor Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing receiving and merchandising procedures, leading and mentoring associates to work efficiently as a team, and ensuring a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment. Delivering excellent customer service is a key element of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a positive experience for both internal staff and customers.
• Uphold principles of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Manage truck deliveries and prioritize merchandise processing to the sales floor.
• Train and mentor associates in merchandising and processing best practices.
• Ensure that merchandise is tagged, hung, secured, and coded correctly.
• Coordinate with on-duty coordinators for smooth merchandise flow.
• Oversee associates' completion of tasks in alignment with the store plan and prioritize workflow.
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as necessary.
• Organize and rotate back stock to facilitate efficient replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Keep backroom areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and recycling regulations.
• Communicate effectively with management and associates regarding priorities and progress.
• Provide and respond constructively to feedback and recognition.
• Collaborate with management on training needs to enhance associate effectiveness.
• Ensure all labor laws, policies, and store procedures are followed.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Support store initiatives to reduce shrinkage.
• Maintain a safe working environment and promote safety awareness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Team-oriented attitude, cooperating effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, with accommodations if needed.
• Experience training and guiding others.
• Minimum of one year in retail and at least six months in a leadership role.
