Job Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will leverage your product knowledge and experience to guide pet owners in finding appropriate nutrition and pet care items. You will join a dedicated team of pet enthusiasts and gain valuable retail experience within a leading pet retail organization.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and facilitate customer sales.
- Process merchandise orders, handle banking, and complete various paperwork.
- Stock small merchandise (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies and household goods on the sales floor.
- Perform general store upkeep such as sweeping and dusting.
- Assist with unloading deliveries containing cases and bags of pet products (up to 50 lbs) and stock items accordingly.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from the workplace.
