Role Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will leverage your knowledge and experience to assist pet owners in selecting appropriate pet nutrition and products. You will join a passionate team of Pet Experts and benefit from opportunities for learning and growth within a leading pet retail company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the cashier and manage customer sales transactions.
- Process merchandise orders, handle banking tasks, and complete related paperwork.
- Stock small items weighing under 10 pounds on the sales floor, including pet supplies and household goods.
- Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general maintenance duties.
- Assist with unloading deliveries of pet food and supplies up to 50 pounds and stock accordingly.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support store operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in retail or customer service environments preferred.
- Familiarity with operating Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts that may include weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the store.
