Role Overview

The Produce Clerk holds responsibility for executing all aspects of their role professionally, accurately, and promptly. This includes delivering excellent customer service, fulfilling customer demands, and contributing positively to a collaborative and engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strictly follow Food Safety Protocols, Health and Safety standards, corporate policies, and various operational procedures.
• Order, receive, prepare, and display produce according to company inventory guidelines.
• Provide outstanding customer service that meets and anticipates customer needs.
• Boost store sales through active promotion of featured produce items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in back shop areas and sales floor to company standards.
• Prepare customer produce orders as required.
• Handle department shrink processing when necessary.
• Assist in training junior staff members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and perform activities involving bending, lifting, and reaching.
