Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing thorough cleaning duties, which include floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, wall and glass washing, and trash disposal.

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash properly following infection control and safety protocols.
• Dust and mop floors using approved methods and materials.
• Relocate furniture and equipment to facilitate cleaning, returning them to their original positions afterward.
• Sanitize all surfaces as per the prescribed eight-step cleaning process using designated materials and equipment.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other fixtures to ensure a hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify and address areas requiring cleaning proactively.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently under supervisor guidance.
• Adhere to applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.
• Perform floor stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and carpet shampooing as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and contribute positively within the team and when interacting with others.
• Perform any additional duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience is mandatory.
• Ability to comply with cleaning protocols and safety standards.
• Must be capable of performing all essential job functions, with or without accommodations.

Work Schedule and Location

Multiple full-time shifts are available at 2489 NW 35th Avenue Rd, Ocala, FL 34475. Further scheduling details will be provided during the interview process.

• Pay rate ranges from $15.00 to $15.50 per hour.
