Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove and rinse food residues from dishes, washing them by hand or using dishwashing machinery as required.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays according to established guidelines to maintain sanitation standards.
• Polish silverware utilizing equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing tools, and manual cloths ensuring thorough cleanliness.
• Follow and uphold safety protocols within the kitchen area.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate temperatures and chemical levels based on provided guidelines.
• Keep dishwashing space organized and aligned with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Clean kitchen floors through sweeping and mopping to adhere to safety and cleanliness criteria.
• Sanitize work surfaces including tables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep stations.
• Manage waste disposal by removing trash, cleaning garbage containers thoroughly.
• Assist with moving supplies and equipment between storage and kitchen workspaces.
• Support loading and unloading operations for supplies and products.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a dishwasher or similar kitchen role is necessary.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to following safety and sanitation procedures.

Work Schedule and Location

This full-time role requires working primarily Monday through Friday during day shifts at the location: 1 North Jefferson Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63103. Further schedule details will be provided during the interview.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $22.00.
