Job Overview

The janitor role involves maintaining cleanliness and order within buildings, including tasks such as heavy floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and trash disposal. This position requires adherence to safety and infection control protocols and involves working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, at the Cosmo location in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash using approved procedures in compliance with infection control policies.
• Dust and damp mop floors according to established protocols.
• Relocate equipment and furniture to enable thorough cleaning and return them to their original places.
• Sanitize surfaces comprehensively, following an eight-step cleaning process with designated materials and equipment.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning.
• Complete assignments provided by supervisors in a timely manner.
• Perform duties in compliance with federal, state, and county regulations.
• Apply floor maintenance techniques such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing floors, and carpet shampooing.
• Demonstrate professionalism and contribute positively to the team environment.
• Carry out any additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided.
• The ability to perform all essential functions of the job satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position located at 1288 Reamwood Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089, with working hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The position requires onsite attendance.

Compensation and Application Details

The pay rate ranges from $26.00 to $28.00 per hour. Applications are accepted continuously until the positions are filled. Internal employee referral bonuses are available.
