Position Overview

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are kept clean, orderly, and sanitary at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove food remnants from dirty dishes and clean them either by hand or by placing them properly into dishwashing machines, assuring thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays according to the company’s prescribed procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Polish silverware using equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths following assigned protocols.
• Adhere strictly to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor and maintain correct temperatures and chemical levels in dishwashing operations as per established standards.
• Keep the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety regulations.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to comply with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Dispose of trash properly by placing it in designated containers, and steam clean or hose out garbage receptacles as needed.
• Assist in transporting supplies and equipment between storage and workspace.
• Help with loading and unloading supplies and products as assigned.
• Perform any additional duties as required by management.

Schedule and Location

The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, located at St. Mary's School, 7 Pursuit, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656. Note that applications are accepted online only.

• Hourly pay rate of $20.00.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing is mandatory.
