Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, work areas, and utensils to ensure a hygienic environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food remnants from dishes; wash dishes either by hand or using dishwashing machines as per assigned equipment, ensuring thorough cleanliness.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays according to specific procedures to guarantee sanitation.
• Polish silverware using various methods and machinery depending on equipment assigned, ensuring spotless results.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and hygiene standards during all duties.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate temperatures and chemical concentrations as per guidelines.
• Keep dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety measures.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces thoroughly.
• Dispose of trash properly, including steam cleaning or hosing garbage cans as required.
• Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas when necessary.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment with basic knowledge of kitchen operations.

Working Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position based at Savannah Christian Prep School, 1599 Chatham Parkway, Savannah, GA 31408. Workdays run Monday through Friday with varying hours to be discussed during the interview.
