Job description
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join on a contract basis for 12 months with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Dublin, requiring the candidate to work onsite one week per month. Immediate joining is preferred, offering a daily rate of 400.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will bring 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in crafting scalable web applications, focusing heavily on Java backend development. The engineer will have a comprehensive skill set spanning microservices, frontend technologies, and a thorough familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle. Collaborative work with product managers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams is central to delivering robust enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.
- Lead backend development efforts utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Create responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces with frameworks such as Angular, React, or equivalents.
- Engage in solution design, contribute to architectural discussions, and assist in making technical decisions.
- Develop cloud-native applications oriented for scalability and fault tolerance.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and testable codebases.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide guidance to less experienced developers.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in live production systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Enhance continuous integration and delivery pipelines and support DevOps practices.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Minimum 6 years of Java development experience (Java 11 or 17+).
- At least 3 years using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Proficient with frontend technologies including Angular (3+ years), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and frontend state management tools such as Redux, Context API, or NgRx.
- Strong SQL knowledge with skills in database query optimization and management.
Additional Details
- Contract length: 12 months with potential for extension.
- Work location: Dublin, with onsite presence required approximately one week per month.
- Daily remuneration: 400.
