Job description

About The Opportunity

You will be part of a focused product squad within one of several product streams. The role is highly hands-on and web-centric, giving you the chance to make a significant impact quickly. You will work closely under the guidance of a Frontend Lead, who emphasizes strong standards and pragmatic delivery, and report directly to the Head of Engineering.

Role Balance

  • Develop new features that provide substantial improvements beyond minor UI changes
  • Address technical debt and consistently improve maintainability and developer experience
  • Enhance performance to ensure superior user experience

The working environment is fast-paced with shifting priorities, ideal for those who thrive on variety and momentum and enjoy collaborative problem-solving within a squad.

Technical Environment

Your main focus will be the ReactJS web application, although you will operate within a broader ecosystem encompassing:

  • JavaScript and TypeScript technologies
  • API integrations, including RESTful and GraphQL
  • Backend services built on Node.js
  • AWS cloud and serverless components like Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3
  • CI/CD pipelines along with monitoring and logging to ensure reliable software delivery

You are not expected to specialize in backend development but should be comfortable collaborating with backend engineers, understanding data flow, and troubleshooting integrations to achieve optimal results.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven commercial experience building modern web applications with ReactJS
  • Strong skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript with a penchant for clean coding patterns
  • Experience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • A commitment to quality, focusing on performance, accessibility, and maintainability

Desirable but not essential qualifications:

  • Production experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with AWS services and serverless architecture
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, system observability, and production support

Work Culture

  • A humble, team-oriented attitude
  • Comfortable with transparent communication, context sharing, and supporting colleagues
  • A practical approach to completing tasks thoroughly without drama or heroics

What’s On Offer

  • Opportunity to join a global product company with an established engineering team
  • Work in an ownership-driven squad model featuring modern engineering practices and clear leadership
  • A balance between delivery focus and engineering excellence
  • Hybrid working arrangement with a structured office rhythm to encourage collaboration
