Job description
Overview
Become a key part of a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store by managing front store operations that center around health, beauty, and convenience services while prioritizing customer satisfaction in Campbell River, British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise customer service operations, including managing cash controls, cashiers, and merchandising activities.
- Ensure all cashiers and merchandising team adhere strictly to store policies and operational procedures.
- Provide effective training, ongoing support, and guidance to cashier and merchandising personnel to optimize performance.
- Implement and maintain loss prevention protocols, oversee daily cash office inventory, manage cashier tracking and related documentation, and control PC Optimum procedures.
- Maintain the store’s public image by ensuring employees conform to uniform policies and professional standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries concerning product locations, rainchecks, and resolve issues such as refunds and exchanges following established guidelines.
- Promote customer satisfaction initiatives, including the CSI Survey.
- Ensure retail shelves are well-organized, clean, and products appropriately rotated; coordinate product display setups and removals as directed by area managers.
- Maintain the overall housekeeping standards and store image, complying with all Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform clerical, banking, and cashier duties as required to support store operations.
- Adhere fully to loss prevention policies and ensure their consistent application within the store.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong planning abilities, sound judgement, and independent decision-making skills tailored to store organization.
- Effective problem-solving skills are essential to guarantee high customer satisfaction.
- Basic computer proficiency for operational tasks.
- Good organizational capabilities and efficient time management techniques.
- Familiarity with product knowledge and store inventory management.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $18.60 to $21.00 CAD, depending on experience and the specific location within the region. The Company employs AI technology to assist in the candidate screening and selection process.
