Job description
Overview
Join a community-focused, independently operated Shoppers Drug Mart location to deliver exceptional health, beauty, and convenience services. In this role, you will place customers at the forefront of every task you perform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee customer service activities including cash handling, cashier supervision, and merchandising operations.
- Ensure adherence to all store policies and operating procedures by cashier and merchandising staff.
- Provide training and ongoing coaching to cashiers and merchandisers.
- Implement and maintain loss prevention protocols; manage daily cash office inventory and cashier tracking systems.
- Uphold store image standards by enforcing uniform policies and maintaining a professional appearance of staff.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues following established refund and exchange guidelines.
- Promote customer satisfaction initiatives such as the CSI survey.
- Ensure shelving is clean, organized, and products are properly rotated; set up and dismantle product displays as required.
- Maintain store housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform clerical and banking duties as necessary, including cashier duties if required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to independently organize store operations effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Computer proficiency.
- Organizational aptitude with efficient time management skills.
- Familiarity with store products and supplies.
