Merchandiser

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange stock in the backroom following established Inventory Management protocols (BIMI).
• Operate PDT and MMS systems daily to support merchandising activities.
• Oversee product exit strategies and returns as directed.
• Maintain expert knowledge of inventory areas, including correct product placement and tracking expiration dates.
• Uphold store image standards and current retail trends to ensure appealing, customer-friendly displays.
• Receive merchandise compliant with receiving policies while keeping documentation accurate and updated.
• Maintain an organized and tidy backroom based on organizational principles.
• Assist store management in maintaining overall product quality and store standards.
• Adhere to uniform and dress code policies to present a professional image.
• Proactively recognize and support customers on the sales floor.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, loss prevention policies, and other store standards.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Efficient, organized, and meticulous in work approach.
• Adaptable to changing situations on the sales floor.
• Cash handling skills with accuracy and efficiency where applicable.
• Basic computer and register operation skills.
• Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to work independently and stay self-motivated.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and safely climb ladders.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $17.60 to $20.85 per hour, with factors such as experience, knowledge, and location influencing the final salary. This is a newly created role, and artificial intelligence tools are used in applicant screening and selection.
