Team Global Express NZ provides freight forwarding, complete transport solutions, and logistics services throughout New Zealand, spanning from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Role Summary
Join our team at the Christchurch branch as a Freight Operator, where each day brings variety and teamwork in a dynamic, physically active environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting, and ensuring safe and timely movement of goods during the afternoon shift from Monday to Friday, with start times ranging from 10am to 3pm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely and securely load and unload freight for both road and rail transportation units.
- Utilize On-time scanning systems to efficiently track freight, supporting branch operational goals.
- Operate equipment safely and competently at all times.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships within the team.
- Communicate effectively to support team coordination and operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a clean Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver’s License is essential.
- Forklift License with an OSH certification is mandatory.
- Dangerous Goods Endorsement is preferred but not mandatory.
- A customer-oriented and helpful attitude.
- Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Road driving experience within New Zealand.
