Freight Operator

About the Position

Join Team Global Express as a Freight Operator at our Mount Maunganui branch and become an integral part of a dynamic team that connects communities and drives New Zealand's eCommerce logistics. This role offers a varied daily schedule and involves physical activity in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight for both road and rail transportation units.
• Efficiently scan and sort freight to meet branch operational targets using the On-time system.
• Operate all equipment safely and competently at all times.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships within the team.
• Communicate effectively in a collaborative team setting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a clean, full New Zealand Class 1 driver's license.
• Forklift license with current OSH certification.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Experience driving in New Zealand road conditions.

Working Hours

Afternoon shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
