About the Role
Become a pivotal member of Signet's Brisbane-based soft plastics production team as a Machine Operator. This position involves hands-on engagement with the plastics manufacturing processes including operating state-of-the-art extrusion, conversion, and recycling equipment to produce finished products such as plastic bags and stretch films. The role requires performing routine machine maintenance and maintaining detailed process control records to ensure production quality.
Working Hours
The position follows a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts split between day (5:45 am to 5:45 pm) and night (5:45 pm to 5:45 am) periods.
Candidate Profile
Applicants new to plastics manufacturing but eager to learn machine operation are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, teamwork skills, problem-solving abilities, strong mechanical aptitude, focus on safety and quality, and thorough attention to detail. Prior experience in plastics, blown film production, or HACCP is advantageous but not mandatory.
