Founding Engineer

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a backend-focused Founding Engineer with 2 to 4 years of professional experience to design and expand backend architectures primarily utilizing JavaScript or TypeScript. While experience with Generative AI technologies is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and enhance backend systems and APIs to support product growth.
• Create robust, production-quality features leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Assume full accountability for backend engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Collaborate intimately with the founding team on product creation and refinement.
• Participate actively in shaping system architecture and making important technical choices.
• Construct dependable and scalable backend infrastructure to support product demands.

Required Qualifications

• Between 2 and 4 years of experience in software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in backend development.
• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable backend applications.
• High degree of ownership and effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Background working in startup environments.
• Exposure to early-stage or founding engineering roles.
• Familiarity with APIs and distributed system design.
