Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers, data scientists, and AI specialists, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
• Manage team objectives including goal setting, performance feedback, career progression, and succession planning.
• Drive excellence in delivery through multiple forward-deployed engagements, ensuring alignment with success metrics.
• Define technical strategy and architectural guidelines alongside chief experts and technical leads.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for delivery risks and challenges, effectively resolving them.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and SAP leadership, advocating for required resources.
• Recruit, onboard, and scale high-caliber engineering talent across AI, data, and software disciplines.
• Collaborate with product, go-to-market, and regional teams to align capabilities with strategic priorities and customer demands.
• Champion best engineering practices, responsible AI principles, and cultivate a continuous learning and innovative environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven leadership experience managing senior engineering teams, fostering inclusive, high-performing environments.
• Robust technical expertise in AI, machine learning, data engineering, or software engineering, with credibility to guide technical decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of forward-deployed or customer-embedded delivery models and managing complex customer engagements.
• Exceptional problem-solving and design thinking abilities balancing strategic insight with hands-on delivery.
• Strong ability to develop talent, navigate organizational complexity, and align diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working within an Agentic AI framework and understanding its application in teams and customer settings.
• Skilled in hiring and growing engineering teams internationally, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
• Excellent communication and influence skills across engineers, executives, and customers.
• Familiarity with SAP AI technologies and enterprise AI deployment is highly advantageous.
