Forward Deployed AI Integrator (UAE National Only) - Field Engineering

Role Overview

The Forward Deployed AI Integrator specializes in embedding AI capabilities within a designated regional Field Engineering (FE) team at AWS. This role is tasked with scaling AI-enabled workflows that accelerate investigations, automate repetitive tasks, improve reporting, and develop scalable engineering tools, by transforming experimental AI applications into standardized practices across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with regional FE teams to identify and prioritize impactful AI workflow opportunities.
• Promote adoption of AI-assisted workflows related to investigations, reporting, operational analytics, and tooling within the region.
• Work hands-on with FE engineers to replace manual workflows with scalable AI-driven solutions.
• Create and document reusable workflow templates and operational playbooks tailored for regional adoption.
• Coordinate with GenAI platform and internal tooling teams to expedite AI deployment within approved environments.
• Provide coaching on practical AI tools, including Python-based tooling, Kiro, and proprietary AI platforms.
• Monitor and report on adoption rates and operational KPIs to regional and senior FE leadership.
• Eliminate duplicated efforts by sharing reusable AI capabilities across regions.
• Contribute knowledge to the FE AI integration community by disseminating learnings and outcomes.
• Support ongoing FE initiatives such as waveform analytics, automation of reporting, tooling enhancements, and operational dashboards.

Typical Workday

Embedded within the regional FE team, the Integrator works alongside engineers during live operations to identify bottlenecks, develop AI-assisted automations, and drive workflow adoption. The role demands technical proficiency, operational insight, initiative, and rapid learning to enable measurable AI integration success.

About the Team

The Field Engineering group sustains vital operational functions for AWS globally across diverse engineering disciplines, including investigations, infrastructure systems, tooling, reporting, and process optimization. This AI integration role is among the initial positions crafted to prove and expand the AI enablement model across FE regions.

Candidate Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience in ML or data science roles within large tech environments.
• At least 3 years of technical program management experience.
• Familiarity with AI systems through working experience or evaluation.

Preferred Experience

• Background in data center engineering, operations, or project management.
• Proficiency in leveraging technology to drive process optimization and automation.
• Experience with large-scale data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, Power Query, and Python.
• Exposure to global companies with multi-national responsibilities.
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring, team influence, or tech leadership roles.
• Ability to communicate complex technical results to senior leadership and influence decision-making.
