Role Overview
The role of Formwork Engineer is crucial within our construction and operations departments, focusing on building and high-rise project sectors. The engineer will primarily handle the estimation, procurement, and management of formwork and scaffolding materials to ensure smooth project execution while complying with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate formwork and scaffolding quantities accurately based on construction drawings.
- Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) for effective material planning and procurement.
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure optimal utilization of materials.
- Organize manpower and resources in alignment with project schedules and needs.
- Collaborate with site engineers to maintain seamless work-front availability and execution.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for on-time material delivery and support.
- Monitor material movements, reconcile inventory, and track resource allocation at sites.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project guidelines.
- Assist project teams in meeting construction objectives through strategic planning and coordination.
Requirements
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in building construction or high-rise projects.
Key Skills
- Expertise in formwork and scaffolding quantity estimation.
- Proficiency in preparing Bills of Materials and material planning.
- Experience with inventory management and resource planning.
- Capability to interpret construction drawings accurately.
