Food Services Supervisor

Overview

The Food Services Supervisor role, based at the Palm Jumeirah location in Dubai, requires ensuring smooth team collaboration to deliver optimal guest service quality. The supervisor must oversee staff grooming and attire compliance, undertake opening and closing operational tasks, and maintain cleanliness and organization in storage and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure team cooperation for superior service meeting guest expectations.
• Inspect staff appearance regularly and address any deficiencies.
• Execute opening and closing duties including supply setup, equipment cleaning, and securing premises.
• Maintain inventory controls, manage stock requisitions, and enforce FIFO principles in storage areas.
• Monitor dining room seating, service levels, guest safety, and well-being.
• Request maintenance work when necessary through work orders.
• Support management in all staff-related processes such as hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
• Champion company policies including safety protocols, fair treatment policies, confidentiality, and asset protection.
• Provide professional, courteous guest interaction and assist those with disabilities.
• Maintain positive workplace relationships and contribute to organizational goals.
• Ensure quality standards are met and pursue efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-saving improvements.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering in confined spaces as required.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in food service.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No licenses or certifications required.
