About the Role
The Food and Consumables Team Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service that aligns with Walmart’s core values, maintaining and organizing the food and consumables department, stocking items, and assisting with sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and zone the department effectively to ensure shelves, displays, and bunkers are neat and products are correctly placed.
- Perform rotation of stock items, checking regularly for expired products to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all merchandise is clearly and accurately signed and priced.
- Comply with all standards related to cold chain protocols, thermometer calibrations, temperature monitoring, food handling, correct product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiry dates.
- Follow appropriate procedures for ordering products, clearances, applying markups or markdowns, and managing product signage, including flagging, pricing, and labeling.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15.
