Overview
Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada provides an excellent opportunity to build skills in the retail sector. The role centers on delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. Responsibilities focus on maintaining the bakery department's appearance and stock while selling bakery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and visual presentation of bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery section is fully stocked and store-ready at all times.
- Correctly label and price merchandise.
- Comply with cold chain standards including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow strict food safety protocols, sanitation, and cleaning routines.
- Manage proper ordering processes, clearance, price adjustments, and product tagging.
- Prepare bakery products by adhering to established thawing and baking procedures to guarantee product quality and appearance.
- Secure displays safely and properly.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $19.05 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
