Food & Consumables Team Associate

Position Overview

The Food & Consumables Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service while upholding Walmart's core values. This role is responsible for maintaining and organizing food and consumable departments, including areas such as dry grocery, dairy, frozen foods, household chemicals, pets, and infant products. The associate supports merchandising efforts by stocking goods and ensuring proper presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and zone product shelves, tables, and storage areas to maintain an orderly and accurate display of merchandise.
• Rotate inventory regularly and verify that no expired products remain on shelves.
• Verify that all merchandise is clearly signed and priced correctly.
• Comply with stringent food safety and handling standards related to cold chain maintenance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, product rotation, and checking sell-by and expiration dates.
• Carry out procedures for ordering stock, clearances, markups, markdowns, signage updates, flagging, pricing, and labeling in accordance with company policies.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Qualifications

Minimum: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
