Job description
Position Overview
The Food and Consumables Team Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service in line with Walmart's core principles. This role involves maintaining the organization and appearance of the food and consumables section, managing inventory, and assisting with product sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the department's organization by properly zoning shelves, tables, and bunkers to ensure products are in their designated locations.
- Regularly rotate stock and inspect products for any expired items to maintain product quality.
- Ensure all merchandise is correctly priced and clearly signed.
- Comply with established procedures for cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, food handling standards, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow proper protocols for ordering stock, managing clearances, applying markups and markdowns, and labeling products appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Additional Information
