Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests courteously and professionally upon arrival to the restaurant.
• Oversee the reception area ensuring prompt and attentive guest service.
• Confirm bookings, seating preferences, and special occasion details while managing guest requirements.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus adhering to established service standards.
• Keep an accurate record of table availability and collaborate with restaurant personnel to coordinate seating arrangements.
• Manage waiting lists and communicate wait times professionally to guests.
• Work closely with restaurant supervisors, waitstaff, and other F&B team members to maintain smooth guest flow.
• Handle telephone calls, queries, and reservation requests with professionalism.
• Maintain precise reservation records, ensuring guest preferences are communicated to team members.
• Identify returning guests, VIPs, and IHG One Rewards members wherever applicable.
• Provide guests with information about restaurant menus, ongoing promotions, hotel facilities, and services.
• Respond to guest feedback and requests professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Keep the reception area neat, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Offer additional support to the restaurant team during peak periods and assist with operational tasks as needed.
• Ensure all guest interactions reflect the high standards and values of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably have experience in a hosting, guest relations, or receptionist role within hospitality.
• Experience in a luxury or five-star hotel or restaurant is a significant advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a warm and confident demeanor.
• Exemplary professional appearance and excellent personal grooming.
• A dedicated customer service approach with genuine attention to detail for guest needs.
• Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Capability to maintain composure and professionalism during periods of high activity.
• Comfortable using reservation management systems and basic computer tools.
• Fluency in English mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
