Job Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring floor surfaces, utilizing industrial floor care machines, and ensuring hygiene standards are met at healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
• Operate industrial equipment for large-scale floor cleaning effectively.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning activities like shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spot treatment, and vacuuming.
• Carry out maintenance and restoration of various floor types.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience in floor care or comparable roles.
• Proven expertise with floor care machinery and related techniques.
• Understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Schedule and Location

This position is located at Health Lakeview Hospital, 95 Judge Tanner Boulevard, Covington, LA 70433. It offers both full-time and part-time shifts, including Monday to Friday with rotating weekends, typically from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Further scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.
