Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Floor Layer to become part of the WPS Responsive team located in Skelmersdale. This role requires expertise in domestic flooring installation with a focus on delivering superior quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install various flooring materials including vinyl, carpet tiles, and safety flooring types.
- Prepare subfloors using materials such as screed, plywood, and latex compounds.
- Perform flooring repairs and replacements in both occupied and vacant properties.
- Ensure all flooring work complies with health and safety standards and maintains high quality.
- Engage effectively with tenants and clients to provide excellent customer service while minimizing disruption during work.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a floor layer, preferably within social housing or responsive repair sectors.
- Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering Occupations or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.
- Capability to operate both individually and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must hold a valid UK full driving licence.
- Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check at the offer stage.
