Carpenter / Multi-Trader

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Carpenter / Multi-Trader to work in Crawley and nearby locations. This role involves locksmithing, window, and door maintenance tasks within residential properties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Fit, fix, and swap locks on UPVC, composite, timber, and metal doors.
• Conduct non-invasive entry and repair multipoint locks.
• Repair windows and doors, addressing issues such as hinges, handles, alignment, and mechanisms.
• Swap out foggy or damaged double-glazed glass units.
• Enhance security by installing anti-snap locks, cylinders, and handles.
• Respond to emergency call-outs, including occasional after-hours work.
• Perform board-ups and secure properties following damage.
• Complete detailed job reports adhering to safety and insurance protocols.

Necessary Skills and Experience

• Strong diagnostic troubleshooting and mechanical skillset.
• Good understanding of window, door, and locking system mechanisms.
• Proficient in using both hand and power tools.
• Meticulous and considerate when working within occupied dwellings.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Capable of working autonomously and managing time efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable prior experience in a comparable position.
• Possession of a full UK driving license is mandatory.
• Locksmith or glazing qualifications are advantageous but not required.
• Physically capable of performing tasks involving lifting, bending, and working at heights.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to security concerns.
