Position Summary

The Flexo 2nd Helper plays a critical role in assembling finished goods into proper units ready for shipment, strictly following guidance from Factory Job Tickets. They serve as the final checkpoint in quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operator with specific needs of orders.
• Prepare and maintain the glue wheel and glue pot to ensure readiness and smooth operation, including cleaning and verifying the glue camera system.
• Operate the load former according to customer instructions on unitizing such as bundle quantity, layering, stacking pattern, and special requirements.
• Conduct thorough quality checks as the final reviewer to confirm products are free from scrap, correctly tagged, stacked as per customer requests, and meet Factory Job Ticket specifications.
• Provide relief support to the 1st Helper during breaks and assist with tasks such as staging bottom and tie sheets, handling printing, and organizing identification tags before production runs.
• Maintain a safe, tidy workspace free from hazards like spills and trip risks.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working beyond the typical 40-hour workweek as needed.
• Ensure consistent and dependable attendance.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management to support business operations.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Operate in a fast-paced setting requiring adaptability to continual changes in organizational, customer, and personnel needs.
• Frequently stand, walk, reach with arms and hands; perform tasks involving finger dexterity; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Regularly lift 20 pounds; occasionally lift between 20 and 35 pounds; rarely exceed 35 pounds; lifting over 50 pounds requires mechanical or team assistance.
• Visual demands include close, distance, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regular exposure to moving machinery and loud noise levels.

Qualifications

Working Hours

Third shift schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
