Role Description

The Fire Alarm Technician will be engaged full-time on-site in Dammam to handle the installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm systems for various projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Daily responsibilities include performing site surveys, routing cables, mounting devices, wiring panels, programming systems, and carrying out functional tests. The role also requires diagnosing system faults, conducting repairs, executing both preventive and corrective maintenance, and preparing technical documentation and reports. The technician will work alongside project engineers and electricians, adhere strictly to safety protocols, and support project schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven technical expertise in installing, wiring, programming, and commissioning fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with fire safety codes, regulations, and standards governing fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Hands-on experience in testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm panels and associated devices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and system layouts accurately.
• Advantageous understanding of related systems such as CCTV and access control within low current security setups.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including safety practices, using testing instruments, and working with low voltage systems.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to established procedures and checklists.
• Effective communication skills and capacity to collaborate safely on live work sites.
• Educational background includes a technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm technology; possession of relevant industry certifications is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a fire alarm technician or similar role in construction, industrial, or facility management settings is preferred.
