Financial Director

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Finance Director to join a fast-growing organization based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This leadership role demands a commercially astute finance expert who will spearhead strategic financial guidance, enhance governance, and champion the company's long-term growth goals. The role involves close collaboration with senior management to oversee financial planning, optimize fiscal outcomes, manage risks, and ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with business targets and expansion plans.
• Lead comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises annually and over the long term.
• Collaborate with executives to provide insightful financial analysis to inform strategic choices.
• Work alongside commercial teams to establish pricing tactics and evaluate business initiative viability.
• Supervise the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws, tax regulations, internal controls, and audits.
• Set up solid financial governance frameworks and proactively manage risks.
• Implement cost control measures to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Develop management information systems that support data-driven decisions.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to maintain financial health and operational continuity.
• Maintain and optimize relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Support evaluation of investment opportunities and capital expenditures.
• Oversee design and deployment of effective financial systems, reporting mechanisms, and internal workflows.
• Collaborate with Shared Services to ensure smooth delivery of transaction finance functions including AP, AR, payroll, and reporting.
• Track service delivery against SLAs and identify enhancements for streamlined processes.
• Lead continuous improvements in financial operations to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Manage and nurture the finance team, promoting accountability, high performance, and ongoing development.
• Build strong partnerships with commercial, operational, and executive teams to align financial guidance with business goals.
• Maintain robust relationships with auditors, regulators, banks, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; master's degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are advantageous.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-term planning.
• Deep knowledge of financial governance, compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
• Experience with Shared Services finance frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to collaborate with executive teams and deliver strategic financial leadership.
• Strong commercial insight, analytical skills, and sound decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
