Role Overview
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position in Fund Services reports to the Senior Fund Accountant. The trainee will provide comprehensive assistance to Fund Services teams, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to client service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Fund Services teams by contributing across various functions to support operational effectiveness and manage evolving business needs.
- Review and verify work completed by offshore teams for accuracy.
- Ensure timely submission of Net Asset Value (NAV) reports to clients according to agreed service level agreements.
- Maintain compliance with respective fund terms, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering standards.
- Collaborate closely with asset managers for closed-ended funds, property managers, and real estate developers to collect necessary data and support fund operations.
- Monitor cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for operations, investments, and distributions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Adhere to the company's policies and procedures consistently.
- Serve as a deputy in the absence of the line manager when necessary.
- Report concerns or issues promptly to the line manager.
- Foster strong client relationships and uphold professional standards in all communications and interactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational background preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in PC use with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, including Macros.
- Proactive mindset with a drive to advance tasks and projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines reliably and handle flexible work demands based on client requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication capabilities.
- Capacity to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage complex issues.
