Position Overview

We are inviting applications for a Financial Advisor to join our Auckland-based investment advisory team. This role centers on delivering investment management and advisory services to a variety of clients, including non-discretionary agency clients, co-trustees, and beneficial interests with active engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new high-value clients and expand referral channels
  • Comprehensively evaluate client financial circumstances to identify needs and develop effective financial plans
  • Provide expert guidance and support concerning fiduciary business services
  • Expand and nurture the client portfolio to foster productive, enduring relationships
  • Oversee risk and compliance reporting protocols
  • Maintain updated knowledge on industry trends and perform relevant market research to enhance financial recommendations
  • Ensure adherence to financial advice regulatory standards and practices

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and a passion for top-tier client investment support. Experience as a Financial Advisor or attainment of the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) is preferred.

A deep familiarity with the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, associated legislation, and developments in the advice sector is essential. Candidates should be proactive, relationship-oriented, and capable of independently driving process improvements and solutions.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in financial advisory roles
  • Certified Financial Adviser status
  • Demonstrated success in delivering financial advice
  • Comprehensive understanding of all pertinent industry regulations and rules
  • Experienced in managing strategic stakeholder relationships across multiple levels
  • Proficient with investment platforms, wrap providers, and business tools including Microsoft Dynamics
  • Possession of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials is advantageous but not mandatory
