Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled accountant with robust expertise in systems and project management to lead the transformation of our internal inventory system. This role, positioned at the crossroads of finance operations, product management, and technology, requires an individual contributor who will act as the product owner for our inventory platform. Responsibilities include overseeing improvements, coordinating integrations, and managing data migrations comprehensively. In a fast-paced, resource-limited setting, the ideal candidate should be proactive and capable of independently creating tools, scripts, and AI-powered workflows to address challenges without relying on a dedicated engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the inventory system roadmap by planning enhancements, preparing business and product requirement documents, and driving the entire delivery process from design through user acceptance testing (UAT) to deployment.
• Lead UAT cycles by setting test strategies, performing quality assurance, and approving releases.
• Resolve system-related problems by developing self-service diagnostic scripts to minimize dependency on engineering support.
• Execute ERP system integrations and construct automated data pipelines as needed, even when engineering assistance is limited.
• Design and implement data migration processes with scripting and AI-powered tools for validation and accurate reconciliation.
• Identify areas for automation and create AI-driven workflows in finance operations, including journal entry creation, bank reconciliations, data extraction, reporting, and exception management.
• Build and maintain self-service tools, dashboards, and scripts using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, and low-code platforms to empower the finance team towards greater independence.
• Investigate and integrate AI and machine learning solutions such as large language models (LLMs), AI copilots, and robotic process automation (RPA) into daily operations to reduce manual tasks.
• Ensure system documentation is up to date by leveraging AI technologies to maintain business requirement documents, operational runbooks, and user manuals.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects, emphasizing scalable and repeatable solutions over one-off manual interventions.

Candidate Profile

• 8 to 10 years of experience in FinTech, financial services, or dynamic technical organizations.
• Professional accounting qualification (such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) combined with proficiency in multi-currency accounting.
• Practical ERP experience, including working with platforms like SAP, Workday, or NetSuite, with capability in integrations and data migrations.
• Track record of leading UAT processes for financial or enterprise systems.
• Proficiency with building software tools independently using Python, SQL, VBA, or low-code development environments.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI technologies, including LLMs, copilots, and RPA, for automating tasks including analysis, documentation, testing, and workflow management.
• Advanced Excel capabilities for handling large datasets for reconciliation and data quality assurance.
• Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in ambiguous settings with limited resources.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging effectively with operational teams and senior executives alike.
• Strong enthusiasm and knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain industry developments.
