Job Purpose

The Finance Manager will oversee accounting, financial reporting, and operational controls to safeguard assets, boost profitability, and reduce risks. The role involves leadership of finance shared services including Accounts Payable, Receivable, General Ledger, Income and Night Audits, Credit Management, Bank Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany Transactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive finance shared service functions ensuring precise, timely recording of financial transactions with appropriate approval and compliance.
• Monitor cash, bank balances, revenue, payables, receivables, and balance sheet activities daily to address discrepancies and report critical concerns.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including accruals and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, variances, and KPIs to support leadership decision-making, using tools such as Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Supervise income audit and revenue controls, ensuring correct and complete documentation with prompt error resolution.
• Oversee credit management practices, reviewing customer credit compliance, payment behaviours, and ageing balances while mitigating risks.
• Maintain strong internal controls, comply with policies and statutory requirements, and coordinate audits with timely follow-up on findings.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency and standardize finance procedures across properties.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders including property leadership, owners, auditors, customers, and internal departments to maintain financial discipline and resolve financial issues.
• Lead and develop the finance team ensuring accountability, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
• Assist the Director of Finance in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews, responding efficiently to business interruptions or urgent requests.

Skills and Expertise Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA preferred.
• Five to seven years' experience in finance with emphasis on hospitality, shared services, or multi-property operations.
• Strong expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, internal controls, reconciliations, audits, and hotel finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with additional knowledge of Power BI, ERP systems, hotel PMS, and accounting software beneficial.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
