Job description
Overview
We seek a seasoned Finance Manager to oversee and drive our retail finance operations with a focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within a retail and e-commerce context.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end financial closing processes ensuring adherence to IFRS standards, including journal review, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Digital departments to monitor channel performance, sales metrics, gross margin, and operational expenses.
- Supervise inventory accounting activities, including stock provisions, write-offs, POS-to-general ledger reconciliations, and investigate cost of goods sold discrepancies.
- Oversee cash flow management by monitoring liquidity, forecasting cash needs, managing working capital, and coordinating vendor payments aligned with cash flow plans.
- Support the Finance Director with annual budgeting, long-term forecasts, and tracking financial performance against budget.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations such as VAT and local statutory filings; manage external audits and comply with ZATCA requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team by defining clear performance goals and fostering a culture emphasizing precision and accountability.
- Drive process enhancements and automation by advancing ERP systems, reducing manual workflows, and reinforcing internal reporting controls.
- Focus on critical performance indicators including accurate financial closings, expense integrity, optimized cash flow, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, CMA, or similar credentials are advantageous.
- 10 to 12 years of finance and accounting experience, ideally within retail, consumer goods, e-commerce, or substantial commercial enterprises.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, accounting processes, reconciliations, internal controls, and month-end closings.
- Experience in leading and nurturing finance teams.
- Deep understanding of IFRS standards and financial control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms and financial reporting software.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong financial analytical capability.
- Essential prior involvement in retail and e-commerce environments.
