About the Role
Our Group is recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to oversee finance and accounting operations in one of our country locations: Kenya, Rwanda, or South Africa. The opportunity is ideal for qualified Lebanese finance professionals currently in Lebanon who are ready to relocate internationally and advance their careers abroad.
Key Duties
- Oversee all finance and accounting functions for assigned country operations.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and prepare detailed financial and management reports.
- Track project costs, profitability, margins, contractual commitments, variations, claims, retention, and work in progress.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition for projects while complying with IFRS standards, especially IFRS 15.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, collections, supplier payments, payroll oversight, banking services, letters of credit, performance bonds, and guarantees.
- Produce monthly financial statements, project profitability analyses, cash flow forecasts, and executive level reporting.
- Enhance internal controls, financial policies, approval workflows, and audit preparedness.
- Handle statutory reporting, tax obligations, external audits, and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulators.
- Collaborate with project, commercial, procurement, and operations teams to boost financial performance of projects.
- Lead and mentor the finance team within the country office.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Preferred professional qualifications include CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalents.
- A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or finance leadership position.
- Demonstrated background with main contractors, EPC contractors, or large construction firms is essential.
- In-depth understanding of project accounting, cost control, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and contract financial administration.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, financial controls, audit processes, and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing multiple projects and reporting to executive and group management levels.
- Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Fluency in English, with French being advantageous especially for Rwanda assignments.
- Experience working internationally, particularly in Africa or emerging markets, is highly preferred.
- Exemplary leadership, commercial insight, integrity, resilience, and ability to perform under demanding project conditions.
