About the Company

A flourishing FMCG and manufacturing enterprise based in County Wicklow is looking for a proactive and commercially astute Finance Manager to take charge of its finance operations and contribute to its expansion efforts.

Role Overview

This senior position requires a hands-on finance leader responsible for daily financial management combined with providing commercial and strategic insights to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the finance department to ensure smooth and precise daily financial processes.
• Compile management accounts, create budgets and forecasts, and deliver clear performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with senior management on business strategy, setting prices, managing margins, profitability, investments, and growth plans.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze financial and commercial KPIs across product lines, customer groups, and sales channels.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and assess financial risks.
• Supervise month-end closing procedures, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, as well as credit control functions.
• Ensure accurate stock accounting practices, including reconciliations, valuations, and inventory oversight.
• Handle VAT, excise duties, payroll, and other statutory financial submissions.
• Maintain robust financial governance, implementing policies and enhancing systems and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banking institutions, and other external parties.
• Prepare financial presentations for Board meetings as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant holder such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or comparable certification; strong relevant professional experience may also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or other inventory-driven industry sectors.
• Proficient in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Experienced in managing cash flows, working capital, and inventory accounting procedures.
• Commercially focused, detail-conscious, and adept at navigating both strategic and operational finance duties.
• Effective communicator capable of converting financial data into actionable business insights.
• Confident in working directly with senior executives and managing relationships with external stakeholders.
• Adaptable to dynamic, growing, and entrepreneurial business settings where priorities may evolve.

Experience using SAP Business One is beneficial but not mandatory.
