Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks efficiently under the guidance of Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs, ensuring compliance with instructions.
- Adapt flexibly to business demands, working any day or shift as required.
- Maintain focus on one task until completion before proceeding to the next.
- Complete assigned work lists within set timeframes.
- Participate actively in company training sessions with a positive approach, upholding company values.
- Work steadily and cooperatively within culinary, pastry, and bakery teams, fostering good working relationships.
- Exhibit professionalism and pride in your workmanship, reflected in the quality of dishes presented to guests.
- Observe all company policies and statutory regulations concerning health, safety, sanitation, and fire protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues promptly through proper channels.
- Uphold high grooming standards personally and among juniors, especially when interacting with guests in public hotel areas.
- Punctually report to work per culinary schedules and communicate sickness or absences using appropriate procedures.
- Oversee food production respecting prescribed recipes and specifications, maintaining standards for presentation, production, and portioning.
- Guarantee food quality, sanitation, and adherence to first-in, first-out storage practices.
- Properly store food products in designated refrigeration and storage units during shifts.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of all culinary workstations before and after services.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and instruct culinary colleagues on its correct use.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, diploma, or certification in Culinary Arts, Patisserie, or Bakery.
- One to three years of professional experience in culinary arts, pastry, or bakery roles.
- Ability to recognize various raw materials and differentiate diverse cuisines.
- Fundamental knowledge of cooking methods and hygiene standards.
- Skills in basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and monitoring food preparation.
- Present a neat, professional appearance at all times.
- Willingness and capability to engage in shift work as required.
