Role Overview

The Farm Planner role is responsible for ensuring the well-being, growth, and productivity of poultry flocks. This involves overseeing daily care, health monitoring, feeding plans, and maintaining biosecurity and environmental controls to achieve maximum egg or meat production. The planner will support farm operations through task scheduling, assisting with vaccinations, keeping records, cleaning, and equipment upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and revise daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans covering feeding, vaccinations, health inspections, and maintenance activities that meet production goals and company standards.
• Manage resource allocation including manpower, equipment, and feed, collaborating with supervisors, veterinarians, and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Keep detailed records on flock performance, feed consumption, and farm operations, and produce reports for management review.
• Monitor and manage inventory of feed, medicines, consumables, and farm equipment, scheduling replenishment to prevent shortages.
• Analyze farm procedures to identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements for welfare, efficiency, and cost savings, and track data on egg production, feed use, mortality, and vaccinations.
• Coordinate daily egg shipments to the hatchery.
• Prioritise safety by recognizing hazards and maintaining a secure working environment.
• Maintain and upgrade farm equipment such as feeders, drinkers, climate control devices, and egg handling machinery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, poultry production, animal science or a related area.
• Three to six years of relevant experience, including two to four years in grandparent (GP) poultry farms.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English with strong communication skills.
