Facilities Plant Operator

Job Overview

The Facilities Plant Operator is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of electromechanical plants and building systems to ensure their safe, efficient, and dependable functioning within designated facilities.

Primary Duties

• Operate and supervise mechanical and electromechanical plant equipment.
• Oversee HVAC, air-conditioning, and cooling systems continuously.
• Manage and interact with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Perform regular plant inspections and operational evaluations.
• Detect abnormalities and technical issues in equipment promptly.
• Report maintenance needs to the appropriate technical personnel.
• Keep detailed and accurate logs and records of operations.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to ensure smooth plant operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Technical certification in Air Conditioning, Mechanical, or Electromechanical fields.
• At least five years of relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of three years operating plant systems specifically within school and kindergarten environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and cooling systems.
• Good grasp of electromechanical system operation and BMS technology.
• Possession of relevant technical certifications is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail in all operational tasks.
• Effective communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
